Job summary

Robinhood is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This role supports the regulatory reporting framework for a broker/dealer, contributing to daily and monthly close processes and ensuring accuracy of the Reserve Computation and FOCUS reporting.

You’ll work with Excel, SQL, and AI-assisted workflows to prepare regulatory schedules, reconciliations, and financial reports in a fast-paced environment across multiple office locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years in finance at a bank or broker-dealer with regulatory reporting experience.
  • Accounting experience at a financial institution including entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Intermediate Excel and SQL; comfort with AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Series 27 or 99 preferred; must obtain within 1 year if needed.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and quickly ramps up on new topics.

The Financial Operations group is primarily responsible for the firm's compliance with the SEC, FINRA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations. The group compiles, reviews and prepares regulatory and financial reports, including but not limited to, 15c3-3 Customer Reserve, Net Capital Computations (SEC) and FOCUS & with all the supplemental schedules. Primary responsibilities will be preparing and assisting in production of Daily Net Capital schedule, the daily 15c3-3 reserve comp, prepare month end accounting entries and reconciliations, and the month end FOCUS report. In addition, this role will assist in the month end accounting process. It's a detail-driven, fast-moving group that takes real pride in getting the numbers exactly right

As Financial Operations Manager, you will assist/and or prepare the daily/monthly financial regulatory reports and assist in the accounting close.

This role is based in our New York, NY; Chicago, IL, or Menlo Park, CA office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Assemble data to complete the reports required to comply with daily regulatory reporting requirements
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution in accounting or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in the finance department of a bank or broker dealer with deep knowledge of key processes and controls surrounding the preparation and delivery of required regulatory reports.
  • Accounting experience at a financial institution including knowledge of accounting entries, reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and SQL, with comfort using AI tools to work more efficiently.
  • Series 27 or 99 (preferred, but will need to obtain within 1 year)
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and eagerness to rapidly ramp up on new subject matter

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Base Pay Range:

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$110,500 - $130,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$96,900 - $114,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$85,850 - $101,000 USD
