Job summary

Circle in California is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to extend our in-house blockchain systems and build scalable microservices that securely transfer value across blockchain and traditional banking protocols. Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development in OO languages (Go/Java).
• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with production-quality architecture, design, deployment.
• Knowledge of Web3, blockchain, and smart contracts.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with SQL databases and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Extend in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization.
• Build and own scalable microservices for secure APIs that transfer value across blockchain and banking protocols.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design, test, and document procedures.
• Develop publicly accessible APIs for developers to integrate with Circle's payment systems.
• Integrate Platform Services with leading banks and fintechs.
• Write infrastructure for payments, including data sources, messaging, and APIs.
