Job summary

Agile Space Industries in Seattle is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer/Architect to lead scalable platforms for real-time propulsion data analytics. You will own cloud, microservices, and telemetry integrations while guiding a cross-functional team in a mission-critical environment.

The role demands deep expertise across cloud (Azure/AWS), containers, data streaming, and modern languages; you will mentor staff and partner with propulsion teams to deliver high-velocity software

Qualifications

• 15+ Years of progressive software engineering experience with 5+ years in an Architect role.
• Proven full-lifecycle product development across diverse tech stacks and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize enterprise-grade services and high-throughput backend APIs for telemetry data.
• Design architectures integrating cloud platforms with real-time telemetry systems while ensuring compliance.
• Enable legacy and modern components to improve propulsion design, testing and manufacturing.
• Own end-to-end cloud design using Azure/AWS; drive IaC and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Create integration hubs and collaborate with propulsion teams; explore NLP-enabled workflows.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines; maintain reproducible dev environments.
• Act as technical owner for core systems, incident response, and performance monitoring.
• Mentor engineers; partner with test/manufacturing/propulsion teams for best-fit ops.
