Job summary

Pear Suite is a fully remote digital health company building a care navigation platform to support community health workers, doulas, and care teams across the United States. We are hiring Senior or Staff Software Engineers to shape architecture and technical direction for the platform.

This role spans Senior and Staff levels, with compensation bands disclosed and opportunities to lead cross-cutting initiatives, mentor others, and collaborate with product and leadership on priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack development.
• Deep expertise in React, GraphQL, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining cloud architectures (GCP).
• Strong architecture and system-design judgment, with a track record of decisions that held up in production.
• Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on development with strategic design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, reusable software across the frontend, backend, and cloud (React/TypeScript, GraphQL, GCP).
• Lead technical initiatives from proposal through delivery with hands-on and design input.
• Set technical standards and improve quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Document technical decisions clearly for engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Test code and systems thoroughly and promote best practices.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product leadership on priorities.
