Job summary

Disney's Walt Disney Animation Studios in California is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for USD authoring. You will shape production tools, build core infrastructure and APIs, and work with artists and production leaders across multiple domains.

You will lead architectural vision, extend our in-house framework, integrate external DCCs, and deliver artist-centric tools and dashboards for asset content management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and developing interactive tools, including core infrastructure.
• 3+ years in senior technical roles designing architectural frameworks.
• Strong collaboration with artists, production leadership and engineers.
• BS or higher in CS/CE/EE or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/implementation of workflows and state-of-the-art tooling.
• Develop core infrastructure, APIs, and artist-facing tools.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across production and art.
• Extend in-house framework and integrate external DCCs into pipelines.
• Create dashboards and tools to author, edit and inspect shot content.
