Job summary

FlowGen Labs, a frontier AI company building zero-touch enterprise agents for SAP environments, seeks an experienced backend/infra engineer to define architecture and deliver end-to-end solutions across Node.js services, AI workflows, and enterprise integrations. You will own quality and reliability, shaping how agents reason and act at scale.

In person in the San Francisco Bay Area with visa sponsorship available, the role offers high craft, velocity, and pragmatic shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed systems or backend platforms in production environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK) and strong observability (metrics, tracing, logs, and SLOs).
• Experience with Postgres and vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Milvus) for retrieval and semantic search.
• Experience orchestrating agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation.
• Hands-on use of AI tools with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.
• Ownership mentality, crisp communication, comfortable deciding with 80 percent information.
• Move fast without breaking things, not afraid to learn new stacks.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, standards, and deliver solutions end to end across Node.js services, AI workflows, and enterprise integrations.
• Lead builds, ensuring quality and reliability; shape how agents reason and act at scale.
• Collaborate with teams to deploy production-ready, scalable systems in enterprise environments.
