Job summary

Rebuy is a remote-first company delivering AI-powered shopping experiences for top brands in the US and Canada. You will own critical checkout and post-purchase features, design scalable APIs, and help rebuild analytics for experiments.

The role emphasizes high autonomy, system-wide thinking, and rigorous QA across a modern PHP/TypeScript stack. You should bring 8+ years building production web apps, strong security practices, and experience with BigQuery and MySQL.

Qualifications

• Educational background in CS / Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record operating with Staff-level ownership and driving end-to-end technical decisions.
• Fluent daily use of AI coding tools with good judgment to verify results.
• 8+ years building production web applications using PHP/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Own Shopify checkout and post-purchase features and related server-side code.
• Rebuild experimentation reporting with data models, PHP/TypeScript endpoints, BigQuery and MySQL queries.
• Build secure, RESTful PHP/TypeScript APIs for extensions, admin, and Shopify integrations.
• Keep production healthy by investigating issues, root cause analysis, and improving logging/metrics.
• Work AI-first, using Claude Code effectively and discerning when judgment matters.
• Do your own QA with unit, end-to-end tests and manual checks on Shopify stores.
• Review code beyond your surfaces and mentor by example within the team.
