Job summary

Rebuy, Inc. is a remote‑first company seeking a senior engineer to own checkout and post‑purchase features across Shopify storefronts and internal PHP/TypeScript services. You will lead the design of data models, REST APIs, and reporting, working with analytics and engineers to ship high‑impact improvements.

You will thrive in a fast, autonomous environment with a strong emphasis on AI‑assisted development, robust testing, and proactive collaboration with Product Management and engineering peers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production web applications with hands-on PHP and TypeScript experience.
• Experience owning a revenue‑critical, customer‑facing system in production, with logs and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own Shopify checkout and post‑purchase features, including server‑side code.
• Rebuild experimentation reporting with PHP/TypeScript endpoints and BigQuery/MySQL queries.
• Build secure, well‑structured REST APIs for extensions, admin and Shopify integrations.
• Keep production healthy with on‑call, root cause analysis, logging, and metrics improvements.
• Work AI‑first using Claude Code, and clearly judge when human input matters.
• Do your own QA with unit, end‑to‑end tests and live Shopify store validation.
• Review code beyond your own surfaces and mentor teammates.
