Job summary

Gusto is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Tax Credits app within the Tax Credits team. You will design, build, and test core products, mentor engineers, and help scale one of the largest Ruby/Rails and Javascript/React applications in the world.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Data, Design, and Platform Engineering to understand customer pain points, prototype, iterate, and launch daily. Expect cross-functional work with strong executive support and onboarding requiring two days of

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building scalable systems at scale.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead multi-quarter projects.
• Strong communication with product and business stakeholders.
