Base salary ranges for San Francisco/Sunnyvale are USD 232,000–258,000 per year, with bonus, equity, and benefits opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, low-latency distributed search systems.
• Advance lexical, semantic, vector, and hybrid search capabilities.
• Enable AI-native and agentic applications with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Optimize indexing throughput, query latency, and resource use.
• Collaborate with product teams to align search requirements.
