Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend services powering search across Uber Eats, Grocery, and Retail.
• Develop retrieval and ranking systems to help customers find relevant items.
• Productionize ML/LLM-powered search capabilities, including query understanding and ranking.
• Work with lexical and semantic retrieval, embeddings, and ML-based ranking.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate models into production search paths.
• Improve latency, throughput, and reliability of search serving and indexing.
