Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Onboarding and Activation, to lead end-to-end onboarding experiences for small business customers at scale. You will own the signup-to-activation flow across web and messaging channels, apply AI/LLM capabilities to reduce friction, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to ship measurable improvements.

This role requires strong full-stack skills and a founder mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with customer-facing products.
• Strong full-stack abilities across front-end and back-end.
• Experience applying AI/LLM capabilities to product problems.

Responsibilities

• Own signup-to-activation experience end to end, from data model to UI.
• Prototype net-new onboarding experiences leveraging AI.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data to frame problems and validate with customers.
• Identify where AI reduces customer effort and integrate thoughtfully.
• Design onboarding as modular building blocks for rapid expansion.
• Elevate engineering quality through direction, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Make scoped, time-boxed decisions and ship minimal viable versions.
