Typeface is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, marketing, and data science to deliver scalable web apps and cloud services leveraging Generative AI.

The role requires 12+ years of experience in full-stack development, strong cloud and AI tooling knowledge, and a track record of delivering high-quality, performant software in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in developing scalable, reliable full-stack applications.
• Experience with Claude and other AI tools.
• Proficiency in frontend and backend development technologies.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed execution plans.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores and pub/sub systems.
• Bonus: prior experience at a high-growth startup or tech company.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of key product and technology initiatives across design, specification, development, testing, and launch.
• Deliver high-quality software that is readable and reusable by others.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, marketing, and other engineers.
• Investigate, prototype, and deliver innovative solutions across the stack.
• Define and drive adoption of best practices for modern web apps and cloud services.
