Job summary

Typeface is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to define technical strategy and drive architectural decisions for generative AI products. You will lead the design of large-scale ML systems powering agents, text, image, audio, and video, with a strong blend of technical depth and product intuition.

You will mentor engineers, influence leadership, and shape cross-team initiatives while driving high-impact opportunities at the company level.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience building and scaling ML systems with impact at principal level.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven track record driving multi-team or company-level tech strategy.
• Deep expertise in ML systems, training, evaluation and inference at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical vision for generative AI across Typeface’s product ecosystem.
• Lead architecture and design of scalable ML platforms used across teams.
• Drive company-level ML strategy aligning tech investments with product priorities.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across the ML organization.
• Architect large-scale generative AI systems powering multimodal content generation.
