Job summary

Moove AV is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the architecture of a greenfield platform for autonomous mobility operations. You will join as a hands-on founding engineer, growing into long-term ownership and mentorship as the platform evolves.

You will design and implement scalable backend systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical excellence in a high-ownership, early-stage environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in related-field preferred (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering).
• 8 years of experience building cloud-native backend or platform systems.
• Proven experience delivering greenfield products or internal platforms from scratch.
• Hands-on experience building distributed systems on modern cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, including AI/ML or LLM-driven components in production.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into production-ready systems.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across system design, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Comfort operating in high-ownership, low-process, early-stage environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly scalable, resilient, and distributed systems and services, translating requirements into architecture.
• Write high-quality, production-grade code and lead reviews and design reviews.
• Own systems end to end: design, deployment, monitoring, on-call support; build observability; design for failure.
