This Staff Software Engineer role focuses on creating reliable AI-powered workflows and scalable agentic systems within Google Workspace.

You will own outcomes, influence stakeholders, and lead technical direction for complex architectures, helping billions of users interact with their data more effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in software development across one or more languages (e.g., C++, Python).
• 5+ years leading ML design and ML infrastructure deployment.
• 5+ years launching software products; 3+ years in design/architecture.
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners to integrate Agentic infrastructure.
• Partner with Workspace vertical teams to drive engineering excellence and scale performance.
