Job summary

BlackLine seeks a Staff Software Engineer, AI to advance our fintech AI capabilities. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams, bringing AI ideas to production, and shaping scalable architectures with model orchestration, caching, and robust fallbacks.

The role requires 4+ years as a software engineer, a BS in CS/Engineering, and hands-on experience with production LLM APIs, RAG in production, and data pipelines. Hybrid NYC office days per week are expected.

• Experience with production LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) including handling rate limits, cost optimization, and monitoring.
• Experience using frameworks like RAG in production applications to enhance proprietary models.
