Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) in Bellevue, NE seeks a Staff Software Engineer to drive full stack software development within an Agile team. You will collaborate with software designers and engineers across planning, design, development, and demonstrations to customers, delivering sustainable quality products.

Required are a STEM degree with extensive experience in C/C++, Linux, and Agile practices, plus DoD TS clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 14 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 12 years of experience.
• Experience as a Full Stack Software Developer.
• Demonstrated experience in C, C++.
• Proven experience with Linux OS.
• Working knowledge of the Agile development processes.
• Familiarity with Test automation practices and tools (GoogleTest, Eggplant).
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with small technical teams.
• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
• Ability to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NEis currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer. The successful candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecyclewith a concentration in software engineering. The candidates will work closely with other software developers accomplishing the following:

• Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team

Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Software:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum of 14 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 12 years of experience


• Experience as a Full Stack Software Developer


• Demonstrated experience in C, C++


• Proven experience with Linux OS


• Working knowledge of the Agile development processes


• Familiarity with Test automation practices and tools (Integration testing, Unit testing, Behavioral testing, ie. GoogleTest, Eggplant)


• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with small technical teams


• Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results


• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite


• Ability to work full time on-site in Bellevue, NE


• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
