Job summary

SNAP, Inc. seeks a senior software engineer to build and operate scalable, privacy-safe advertising signal and measurement systems in Los Angeles. You will lead critical initiatives, own complex architectures, and mentor junior engineers.

You will collaborate with product teams, advertisers, and ML partners to ensure availability, security, and cost efficiency while advancing measurement capabilities across the platform.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with 9+ years of software development experience; master’s degree with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years are acceptable alternatives.
• Candidates must have led or owned complex technical initiatives and demonstrate strong software engineering, large-scale systems, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate scalable, reliable, privacy-safe advertising signal and measurement systems, including third-party signal ingestion, matching, activation, and solutions that measure advertiser ROI.
• Provide technical direction across the company, collaborate with product teams, advertisers, and machine learning partners.
• Uphold availability, security, operational excellence, and cost-management standards.
