Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and technical direction of our measurement platform that determines the impact of advertisers’ investments. You will own end-to-end features for lift measurement, design scalable data pipelines, and collaborate closely with Product and Data Science to raise the bar on rigor, trust, and operational excellence in ads measurement.

Qualifications

• BS+ in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with data pipelines and large-scale systems
• Experience applying AI to engineering workflows with measurable results
• Background in AdTech or measurement platforms
• Knowledge of experimentation and causal measurement fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of lift measurement features
• Design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines powering study setup and results
• Drive AI enablement across the team with tooling, templates, and coaching
• Translate measurement methodology into production systems with Data Science
• Build rigor by default: data validation, holdout checks, and backtesting
• Raise data quality and trust through monitoring, SLAs, and incident analysis
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration
