What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Develop, improve, and maintain features using Ruby on Rails, SQL, and JavaScript
2. Lead technical architecture discussions and make key decisions for the payments product area
3. Provide technical mentorship and support for team members
4. Collaborate with other technical leaders across different teams
5. Integrate Veracross with third-party systems used by private K-12 schools

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Minimum of 8 years of professional programming experience
2. Proven experience in system architecture, ensuring scalability and performance
3. Experience integrating payment providers such as Stripe, BlueSnap, and Braintree
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Demonstrable understanding of the security and privacy requirements of payment-related systems

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Previous FinTech experience
2. Understanding of core accounting standards and concepts, including GAAP and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
3. Experience with accounting applications such as Quickbooks, Freshbooks, Xero, or Sage
4. Familiarity with financial aid, tuition management, or other school-related financial software
