About the Role
At Torticity, we’re on a mission to transform the litigation industry with technology-driven services. Our platform empowers mass tort and personal injury law firms with powerful tools, data-driven insights, and seamless workflows — ultimately helping people get the justice they deserve. We’re building the modern infrastructure for legal services, and we need strong engineers to help us shape the future.
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our growing team of thoughtful builders. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who wants to drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and help ship elegant, scalable software — all while getting their hands dirty in the code.
Our platform includes both internal tools that drive operational excellence and external-facing applications used by law firms and their clients. Experience designing and building both is a big plus.

You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
• Lead architecture and design for complex systems and features using TypeScript, NestJS, and Vue/Nuxt

• Mentor engineers of all levels and support their growth through guidance and feedback
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and stakeholders
• Collaborate to align on goals and deliver impactful solutions
• Conduct high-quality code reviews and drive engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in a pragmatic, scalable way
• Continuously improve our processes, tooling, and engineering culture
• Serve as a technical thought leader within the organization
We’re Excited About You Because You Have...

• Deep experience with TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres and Vue/Nuxt (or similar technologies)
• Proven success leading complex projects end-to-end
• Experience working on both internal tooling and client-facing products
• Strong mentorship and coaching capabilities
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
• Comfortable balancing long-term architecture with short-term delivery
• Proactive and curious, always staying current with modern engineering trends
• Experience in legal tech, fintech, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and modern DevOps practices
• Prior experience building shared platforms or internal developer tools
