We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Web Team who will be responsible for building and evolving our customer-facing web experiences, including our marketing site and e-commerce store. What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready web applications using modern technologies like React and TypeScript.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and scientists to build features that meet user needs and scientific goals.
• Create scalable, modular, and accessible UI components that align with our brand and user experience standards.
• Build workflows and content management solutions to power scientific storytelling and product discovery.
• Contribute to the evolution of our front-end architecture and technical roadmap.
• Collaborate across the full stack when needed to deliver seamless, end-to-end functionality.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical or scientific field.
• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• 3 years of experience building web applications using React.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience deploying web applications to production, with an understanding of CI/CD pipelines and performance monitoring.
• Proficient in modern JavaScript and CSS, with working knowledge of TypeScript.
• Familiarity with modern relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating back-end services with front-end applications.
• Comfortable working across the tech stack to solve problems wherever they arise.
• Scientific or biology background is not required—but curiosity and enthusiasm for the mission is a must.

Pay Range

Below is the U.S. base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company’s total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x’s equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program. During the hiring process, your 10x recruiter can share the specific base pay range for your preferred location and more about the Company’s total compensation package.

$189,100—$284,500 USD
