Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will lead cross‑functional engineering initiatives, architect large‑scale systems, and mentor senior engineers across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of experience, strong backend programming skills in at least one major language, and a proven track record in reliability, observability, and platform excellence. This is a full‑time, direct role.

Qualifications

Staff Software Engineer

Location:

100% Remote (U.S.)

Position Type:

Full-time, Direct W2

Salary Range:

$100,000–$180,000 Annually

Experience Required:

12+ years

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 12 or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives
• Deep expertise in at least one of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving multi-year platform modernization initiatives
• Public technical contributions (talks, papers, OSS) in relevant areas

• Exposure to building engineering organizations as well as platforms
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost-aware engineering practices
