Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our remote-first team. This role is 100% remote within the United States, with a direct full-time W2 employment arrangement and a competitive salary range.

You will lead complex cross-team engineering initiatives, design scalable distributed systems, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating across cloud, data, and enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-team initiatives.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.

Job Title: Staff Software Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)

Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2

Salary Range: $100,000–$180,000 Annually

Experience Required: 12+ years

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 12 or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving multi-year platform modernization initiatives.
• Public technical contributions (talks, papers, OSS) in relevant areas.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale production systems.
• Exposure to building engineering organizations as well as platforms.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost-aware engineering practices.
