Job summary

Jobtailor in Chicago is seeking a senior iOS engineering leader to drive architecture, tooling, and security across a high-impact mobile app used in vehicle auctions. You will own the iOS CI/CD pipeline, shape observability, and mentor engineers to deliver robust, data-informed product enhancements.

Lead efforts to migrate UIKit to SwiftUI where applicable, implement strong security practices, and collaborate with backend, product, and design teams on API design and feature backlog.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Swift and UIKit.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to a UIKit-to-SwiftUI migration.
• Strong grasp of iOS architectural patterns (MVVM, Router/Coordinator, Async/Await).
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines for iOS (GitHub Actions, Xcode Cloud, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with feature flag systems.
• Solid understanding of iOS security: Keychain, certificate pinning, etc.
• Experience integrating and maintaining push notification platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers across experience levels.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical tradeoffs.
