Under the supervision of the Budget Manager (Staff Services Manager II), the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) will serve as a Fee & Special Projects Manager. Responsibilities include project management, implementation, and coordination of complex budget issues. The role involves identifying opportunities, analyzing alternatives, making recommendations, and presenting solutions to support CARB and CalEPA's goals. The incumbent will assist in budget administration, develop policies, review regulations, and prepare briefing materials, exercising a high degree of independence.
The position may support hybrid work and telecommuting, subject to agency policies. Starting July 1, 2025, in-office attendance will be required four days a week. The work environment is a standard office setting with daily use of computers and office equipment. The position is located in a high-rise building and may require extended stationary periods.
