Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance is seeking a Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) under the direction of the Section Chief to manage the coordination of a variety of complex projects in the California public sector. You will serve as the Bureau’s project lead, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and track progress with internal and external stakeholders.

Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) – Under the direction of the Child Care and Intergenerational Services Section Chief (SSM II), you will manage the coordination of a variety of complex projects. This role serves as the Bureau’s project lead, monitoring the overall direction of projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and tracking and summarizing progress. You will provide guidance to key participants, analyze data, write and review time‑sensitive documents for internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate with staff from state departments, county departments, client advocates and other stakeholders.
Eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for applicants residing in California. Telework schedules may change and are subject to departmental policy.
The position is based in Sacramento County; the office is within walking distance of public transportation and located near key transportation routes.
