Job summary

Runware is seeking a Staff/Senior Software Engineer to technically lead and build a serverless platform. You will join a small team working with senior leadership to bring a new product line to market.

You will build the software layer that connects Runware's high-performance sonic inference engine and simplifies deployment of AI workloads for developers, enabling scalable, GPU-free infrastructure management.

Qualifications

Experience as Staff Engineer or Senior/Platform Engineer leading backend systems.
Proven track record building backend services or workload orchestration systems.
Strong understanding of async processing, queues, retries and failure handling.

Responsibilities

Build core systems behind Runware's serverless platform, including workload execution, routing, scheduling, isolation and scaling.
Create simple SDK for deploying models and running AI workloads without managing infrastructure.
Design and improve control plane for serverless execution, including APIs, workers and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with infrastructure and ML teams to optimize startup time, GPU utilization and caching.
Develop observability for monitoring, debugging and operating at scale.
Lead technical design, mentor engineers and set engineering standards for new product area.
