Job summary

Prysm Health is building a real-time platform for facility operators to monitor census, staffing, documentation, and compliance from a centralized view. You’ll contribute across frontend and backend layers, shaping features from discovery to post-launch iteration.

The role emphasizes user experience, reliability, and scalability, with collaboration across a small senior team and periodic in-person company events. Remote-friendly with US-focused travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping products in production and working with cross-functional teams.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with TypeScript and React on both sides of the API.
• Experience in healthcare, EHRs, or another regulated domain.
• Event-driven systems design and active use of AI tools to speed delivery.

Job description

• Location: Remote (Boston / NYC / CA preferred)
• Reports to: CTO; works closely with the CNO
• Travel: Periodic travel to facilities and quarterly in-person company events
• Level: Senior / Staff

Compensation and Benefits

• $170,000 to $230,000 depending on experience
• Full benefits: 401k, healthcare, dental, and vision

The platform we are building gives facility operators real-time visibility into census, staffing, clinical documentation, and compliance in a single command center. It anticipates problems before they become crises, automates documentation that nurses currently do by hand, and gives operators the foresight to manage quality at scale.

We have institutional backing from experienced operators and investors who are deeply embedded in the industry, giving us distribution and product validation that most startups spend years trying to earn. The market is Huge. Skilled nursing serves millions of patients across tens of thousands of facilities in the US alone. The engineers who join us will feel that scale as we build.

What you'll work on

• Work with customers to understand user needs, identify opportunity, and translate large, ambiguous problems into scoped, testable features.
• Participate in discovery, solution design, technical implementation, testing, and post-launch iteration.
• Work with frontend components, APIs, backend services, and data models to deliver a complete solution that meets the user need and is maintainable, observable, and performant.
• Build software that is accessible, observable, and performant, with a focus on user experience and reliability.
