Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is seeking a Staff Security Technical Program Manager to own the vulnerability management program and drive cross-team security initiatives. You’ll coordinate sprints, OKRs, timelines, and the documentation and ticketing hygiene that keep initiatives aligned and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical program management experience with at least 4 years running security programs.
• Experience owning vulnerability management programs at scale with SLAs and cross-team remediation.
• Ability to read findings, assess severity, and discuss risk with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own security remediation across the firm end to end with a tracked backlog.
• Run the vulnerability management program: scanning, patching cadence, risk reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate vendor security reviews and keep stakeholders updated on status and progress.
• Drive cross-team security initiatives from kickoff to delivery across Security, IT, Legal, HR, and Compliance.
• Build and run the team's execution rhythm: sprint planning, OKRs, and ticket hygiene to keep work visible.
• Raise the bar on documentation: program docs, runbooks, decisions, and postmortems that stay current.
• Define and track metrics to turn data into actionable insights.
