Job summary

Uber is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end, high-impact security and privacy programs across global infrastructure and data pipelines. This role requires navigating multi-regional execution with agility and strategic thinking to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.

You will work with Infrastructure, EngSec, and privacy/legal teams to drive risk-reducing initiatives and ensure secure, compliant operations for riders, drivers, and partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 1 year of experience in the role or related occupation.
• Experience in hyperscale security and security domains.
• Understanding of large-scale software/hardware infra incl cryptography, SDN, messaging, distributed databases, cloud platforms.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and SQLite.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies and the software/product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of security frameworks across Uber's tech stack.
• Embed with Infrastructure and EngSec teams; collaborate with privacy legal.
• Lead privacy and access programs; own strategy & execution of security initiatives.
• Map business priorities to dependencies; align cross-functional roadmaps.
• Develop solutions for security, engineering, and infra challenges with engineers.
• Execute high-impact company-wide initiatives; improve processes for product/engineering efficiency.
• Champion Uber's access and privacy policies for technical methods.
• Streamline security- and engineering-organization communications.
• Ensure protection of private, location, and payment data for users.
• Ensure Uber's experiences are secure via scalable infrastructure.
• Travel 15% domestically and internationally; may telecommute.
