Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to define and drive the technical strategy for identity and access across the product.

You will own design across authentication, authorization, and privileged access, including non-human identities, while guiding architectural decisions and cross-team collaboration. This is a hands-on role focused on durable identity foundations and scalable security.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production software across teams/domains.
• Deep expertise in identity and access engineering: authentication, authorization, entitlement modeling, or PAM.
• Fluency with AI and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Define Harvey's multi-year identity/auth strategy and architecture.
• Design and build complex identity systems from greenfield to production.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to right-size access at scale across domains.
• Extend identity models to non-human/agentic identities and auditable access.
• Act as technical authority on identity/authorization architecture and roadmaps.
