Job summary

Harvey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Security Engineering to build and operate foundational security services. You will own identity and access management, secrets, and privileged access, shaping secure paths for sensitive documents in a fast-growing AI-enabled platform.

You will design secure libraries, drive production-grade systems, and mentor engineers while collaborating with teams across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production services.
• Hands-on security infrastructure experience (IAM, authn/authz, secrets).
• Knowledge of vulnerability classes and attacker reasoning.
• Strong cross-stack programming skills.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and cloud infra.
• Ability to influence teams without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate Harvey's core security services across environments.
• Own identity infrastructure end-to-end: SSO, SCIM, fine-grained authorization.
• Develop secure-by-default libraries and self-service tooling for engineers.
• Take systems from greenfield to production-grade and ensure reliability.
• Contribute to incident response and drive mitigation when needed.
• Raise the security bar via design/code reviews and mentorship.
