Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Staff Security Engineer for the Application Security team. You will own the security architecture and roadmap for the Lens runtime, browser, and web clients, guiding native and web teams to harden the script-to-native boundary and containment.

You’ll conduct deep vulnerability research, lead bug bounty programs, and mentor engineers across teams. You will balance security with performance and developer experience, advancing memory-safety improvements and mitigating risks

Qualifications

• Deep memory-corruption knowledge (out-of-bounds, use-after-free, type confusion, integer overflows)
• Strong web security expertise (same-origin, CORS, XSS, CSRF, frame/iframe security)
• Experience shipping security improvements to browser or embedded runtimes

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture and roadmap for Snap’s Lens runtime and web clients.
• Lead web security across Snap’s web content and embedded content, reducing risks like XSS/CSRF and cross-origin leaks.
• Drive vulnerability research, code review, and root-cause analysis across native runtimes and web-facing code.
