Job summary

Mindray North America seeks a Staff Scientist (Imaging) to advance ultrasound imaging performance across premium systems. You will optimize imaging control parameters and transducer performance, collaborating with imaging scientists, engineers, and clinical sonographers to push imaging quality forward.

The role requires a PhD in a related field (MS with strong experience may be considered), strong experimental skills, and proficiency with MATLAB.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with exceptional relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong experimental and analytical skills are required.
• Experience with MATLAB or similar signal processing toolboxes is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities is essential.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead probe-specific optimization of imaging parameters across modes (e.g., B-mode, color Doppler).
• Apply acoustics, optics, radar, or signal processing to optimize transducer performance for clinical imaging.
• Configure and refine imaging parameters through SQL databases using MATLAB simulations and experiments.
• Conduct measurements with phantoms and human subjects in controlled settings.
• Collaborate with imaging scientists, engineers, and sonographers to align with clinical needs.
• Support refinement of existing transducers and contribute to new designs and imaging capabilities.
• Identify imaging behaviors or system issues and work with experts to find solutions.
• Develop signal processing algorithms, simulations, and software routines; document imaging R&D.
