The scientist will develop and investigate computational reconstruction methods and apply concepts from information theory and signal detection theory to assess image quality and guide improvements in imaging systems. Based in the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and affiliated with the Center for Computational and AI-enabled Imaging Sciences (C2AIS), the laboratory integrates imaging physics, computational mathematics, and artificial intelligence to address fundamental and translational challenges in biomedical imaging. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with imaging scientists, engineers, and clinicians to develop principled imaging methods with potential clinical impact.
