Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Staff Scientist to support electrophysiology and imaging projects in NIH-funded labs.

Ideal candidate has ex vivo and in vivo patch clamp, neuronal cultures, and in vivo Ca++ imaging with fiber photometry or miniscope in animals. This junior position reports to the PI and offers growth in a collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art cores.

Qualifications

• Next-Generation sequencing, bioinformatics, molecular genetics.

Responsibilities

• Responsible Conduct of Research – adhere to standards and policies; manage research projects under PI direction.
• Research – conduct experiments, develop methods, collect and analyze data, support data management.
• Leadership and Collaboration – work with team, propose ideas to improve efficiency and outcomes.
