Qualifications

  • PhD in neuroscience or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology in mammalian brain slices.
  • Strong understanding of electrophysiological recording techniques and neuronal physiology.
  • Excellent manual patch-clamp skills and steady hands.

Responsibilities

  • Generate high-quality monosynaptically paired whole-cell patch-clamp recordings manually and with automation.
  • Troubleshoot experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to reveal circuit physiology.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve workflows and standardize high-throughput protocols.
