What You Will Do:

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and prioritize most cost-effective staffing models and assignments for areas.

2. Strategize and plan for rotation of staff for out-of-town, weekend and holiday operations. Balance workload among individuals and consider travel and overtime cost in the process.

3. Analyze and coordinate staff sick leave and/or time off requests and process trade requests based on staffing needs, critical roles and policies and procedures to minimize costs and improve employee experience.

4. Review workforce staffing requirements and coordinate scheduling, including replacing call offs, to ensure proper daily coverage.

5. Routinely monitor and identify critical scheduling related indicators and trends and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.

6. May support lodging reservations and billing arrangements as schedules dictate.

7. Create staff schedule and assignments in compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreement requirements and business rules.

What You Need to Succeed :

Qualifications:

Education: High School or equivalent required .

Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience required.

Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of American Red Cross scheduling or staffing patterns preferred, excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective organization skills and attention to detail is required, excellent computer skills especially in the use of spreadsheet and/or databases are required. Ability to work on a team.

Pay Information:

The salary range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Note: that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.
