A leading company is seeking a Staff Salesforce Developer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role involves leading projects, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring high-quality code. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Salesforce technologies and a strong background in IT development. Own design, planning, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery on the Salesforce platform for business needs throughout the enterprise. Staff Salesforce Developer is responsible for all technical aspects of large, complex projects. Staff Salesforce Developer may lead or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary.
Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that leverage the Salesforce.com platform effectively.
Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client’s business objectives.
Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration for Salesforce.com implementations.
Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging Salesforce.com platform features.
Manage technical scopes and client expectations.
Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to Salesforce developers.
Demonstrate technical thought leadership.
Conduct code reviews to ensure high code quality and appropriate use of design patterns.
Serve as a credible subject matter expert on sales cycles and marketing events.
Work in the Salesforce.com development environment, including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, triggers, the Force.com IDE, SOSL, SOQL, and web services.
Apply best practices and design patterns on the Force.com platform.
Administer, customize, and configure Salesforce features such as Security, Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Users, Page Layouts, Record Types, Workflows, Reports and Dashboards, Approvals, Object Relationships, Fields, Validation rules, and Custom apps.
Use data management tools like Force.com Dataloader or DemandTools to audit and resolve data integrity issues.
Provide detailed estimates for projects.
Coach and mentor junior technical resources, owning responsibility for their ongoing development.
Participate in interviews for potential candidates as needed.
Drive change and provide leadership within projects.
Job Specifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
Minimum 8 years of IT development experience; 6 years specifically in Salesforce development.
Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate systems.
Expert understanding of Salesforce product suite, including Salesforce 1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Platform, and AppExchange.
Experience with Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce, and API integrations.
Proficiency with declarative tools like workflow rules, process builder, and visual flow.
Experience with Salesforce APIs and data migration tools.
Strong background in enterprise system design and development lifecycle.
Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum.
Deep understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud services.
Knowledge of integration architecture and third-party tools like Informatica or Jitterbit.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred skills include expertise in Salesforce core technologies, Mulesoft, API integration, and experience with Agentforce and DataCloud.
Nice to have skills include AWS services, Java development, and stakeholder engagement experience.
