Shield AI is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and integration of a real-time safety Run-Time Assurance (RTA) product. You will contribute to the Hivemind Foundations team, shaping safety-critical software for aircraft and autonomous platforms.

Responsibilities include architecture, testing, and verification across diverse platforms, with emphasis on clean interfaces, auditable artifacts, and certifiability. Leadership and strong C++ expertise are essential.

Formación

• Designing and developing C++ safety-critical software with real-time guarantees.
• Mentoring engineers to improve software practices and quality.
• Experience integrating software on real-world physical systems.

Responsabilidades

• Drive architecture, development, integration and testing of an extensible Run-Time Assurance (RTA) module.
• Collaborate with Foundations team to integrate with low- and high-assurance software.
• Specialize, test and validate RTA across diverse platforms and conditions.
• Promote principled software development, code analysis and audits.
• Create artifacts for certifiability: ADRs, ICDs, architecture decisions.
• Mentor Foundations developers on safe software practices.
