Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, develop, and integrate a real-time Run-Time Assurance (RTA) product for autonomous aircraft and platforms. You will lead trajectory-prediction research, validate models with Python, and collaborate with C/C++ engineers to deploy reliable software that can fly, including support for X-BAT and the Group 5 CCA UAV.

You will work at the boundary of safety logic, aircraft state, and autopilot APIs, maturing models from simulation to flight-test data

Qualifications

Requires strong background in trajectory prediction or aerospace simulation.
Experience with safety-critical or high-reliability software development.
Proficient in Python for analysis, simulation, and data processing.
Proficient in reading and contributing to C/C++ production code.

Responsibilities

Lead development, tuning, and validation of trajectory-prediction and recovery models.
Build Python-based workflows for simulation, HIL, and flight-test data.
Integrate trajectory-prediction with autopilot interfaces and analyze telemetry.
Contribute to C/C++ implementation and testing for production deployment.
