Job summary

Apollo Solutions is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to tackle hard systems problems at the intersection of Rust, compilers, performance engineering and LLM inference. This fully remote role involves building the performance-critical engine beneath a cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

You will own high-performance Rust systems, work on parsers, automata, grammars, indexes and data structures, and benchmark, debug and profile to keep systems blazing fast.

Qualifications

• Serious production Rust experience.
• Track record in high-performance, low-level or systems software.
• Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with parsers, compilers, formal grammars, state machines, indexing/search or runtimes.
• Strong debugging, profiling and benchmarking skills.
• C/C++ or Python interoperability is a plus.
• AI experience is useful, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and own high-performance Rust systems from design through production.
• Work on parsers, automata, grammars, indexes and sophisticated data structures.
• Profile and optimise code to be exceptionally fast.
• Integrate low-level systems into AI inference infrastructure.
• Rust engineering with opportunities to work near CUDA/GPU systems.
• Develop benchmarks and tooling to keep performance fast as technology evolves.
• Have genuine architectural influence in a small engineering team.
