Sieve, Inc. is seeking its first roboticist to own the physical AI data — robots, capture rigs, and teleoperation stations. You will take systems from parts to data-ready setups at partner sites, handling hardware and software end-to-end.

You’ll spend most weeks on real equipment, wiring, sensor bring-up, calibration, and ensuring data integrity across sites. SF HQ onboarding plus travel to partners.

Competenze

• 3+ years building robotic, mechatronic, or controls systems in real deployments.
• Hands-on bring-up and integration of robots across firmware, wiring, and application code.
• Fluent in Linux and ROS/ROS2 with production-quality Python and C++ code.
• Able to write test plans, document shipped work, and measure outcomes.
• In-person at SF HQ with willingness to travel to partner sites.
• Experience calibrating multi-camera systems and coordinating sensor fusion is a plus.

Mansioni

• Capture rigs: design and bring up hardware including multi-camera arrays and teleoperation stations.
• Calibration and time sync: own camera intrinsics/extrinsics and hardware triggers.
• Root-cause failures: diagnose and fix motors, frames, power rails, or bus issues.
• Field deployments: set up and operate systems at partner sites; ensure durability.
• Robot and capture software: develop drivers, ROS/ROS2 integration, and QA checks.
• Repeatable builds: create BOMs, assembly docs, and SOPs for scaling to 10 sites.
• Team foundations: define hardware architecture, interfaces, and engineering culture.
