12CFAC is a 32-bed post-abdominal surgical floor, specializing in surgical oncology, bariatrics, general surgery, and colorectal surgery.
Built in 2019, 12CFAC features spacious rooms, natural light, an impressive therapy gym, and views of Wauwatosa and Milwaukee from the top floor of Froedtert Hospital.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires competency in caring for a primarily adult population. The job description aligns with the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Clinical competence and experience in managing target patient populations specific to this area of employment.
Must have professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, typically acquired through graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse. Non-BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed RN experience must enroll in a BSN or higher degree program within 15 months of hire, completing it within 5 years (or 6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD). A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Current Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license via NLC. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
