11CFAC is an inpatient step-down unit dedicated to providing specialized care for patients in need of surgical services from Vascular Surgery, ENT, and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. Our unit offers a dynamic and supportive environment where collaboration and teamwork are at the core of our nursing culture. As part of our team, you will care for a wide range of complex cases, including amputations, bypasses, tracheostomies, DIEP flaps, and more. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care while fostering professional growth.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role demonstrates competency in caring for a primarily adult population. The job description is based on the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).
Experience:
Clinical competence and experience in managing target patient populations specific to this area.
Education:
Required: Completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing to be eligible for RN licensure. Non-BSN nurses with less than one year of licensed RN experience must enroll in a BSN or higher degree program within 15 months of hire; degree completion within 5 years (or 6 years for MSN, DNP, or PhD).
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Licensure:
Current Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license via NLC. AHA BLS certification or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
