OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Trauma Unit 2. The role provides comprehensive nursing care across the continuum, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
Responsibilities include coordinating with the care team, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Ohio nursing practice standards. A BSN is preferred after five years of employment, with BLS and OH RN licensure required.
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
