Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines. The RN must be licensed in Georgia, hold BLS certification, and operate within the scope of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Preferred candidates may have a BSN, 2 years of RN experience, and additional life support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP or other specialty certifications).

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adheres to the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Delivers patient care in accordance with established guidelines and policies.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

REQUIRED

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. BSN Degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
