Job summary

AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN to provide acute patient care in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge. You will direct unlicensed staff, assess patients, plan care, teach patients and families, implement orders, and thoroughly document and evaluate care.

Requirements include CA RN license, BLS-HCP, ACLS within six months, and 1 year acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia. BSN preferred; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • One year acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Current CA RN license required.
  • Current BLS-HCP required.
  • Current ACLS (required within six months of hire/transfer for RNs new to the specialty)
  • Current PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acute patient care in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge.
  • Direct the unlicensed employee’s activity.
  • Synthesize patient information, assess, plan care/intervene, teach patients/family, implement MD orders, and document/evaluate care.
  • Collaborate with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing feedback related to performance improvement at self, unit and organizational level.
  • Integrate patient care standards and protocols into practice and assist other RNs.
  • Complete patient care assignments, document, and appropriately delegate tasks.

Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care in a safe and effective manner in Pre-Op/PACU from admission to discharge. Additional responsibilities include directing the unlicensed employee’s activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and documentation and evaluation.

Representative duties include

  • Collaboration with health care team, patient and family to coordinate patient care delivery.
  • Participation in ongoing feedback related to self, individual, unit and organizational performance improvement.
  • Integration of patient care standards and protocols into personal practice and assisting other RN’s.
  • Completion of patient care assignments and documentation, asking for and offering assistance as appropriate and delegating as appropriate.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC- Anaheim Regional Medical Center. Education/Training/Experience

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

One year acute care experience in Critical Care or PeriAnesthesia required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Licenses/Certifications
